| The paper briefly introduces genetic types of copper deposits of porphyry type, strata-bound type, sedimentary type, volcanic type (marine and continental), basic-ultra-basic type, skarn type, vein type and weathered eluvial type. The author summarizes the basic characteristics and metallogenetic factors of these types of copper deposits as well as the exploration experiences and ideas by the himself such as subtype character of porphyry type copper deposit, differences of metallogenetic characters between the strata-bound and sedimentary type copper deposit, comparison of metallogenetic characteristics of China and overseas strata-bound copper deposits, genetic types and metallogenetic characteristics of marine volcanic type copper deposit and continental volcanic type copper deposit, illustrated by overseas large-sized copper deposits for the purpose of providing readers useful information. |
