      卡拉塔格地区是东天山重要的铜多金属成矿带,成矿条件优越。叠加产出红海、红石、梅岭等与早古生代海相火山活动有关的铜多金属矿床及玉带、西二区、红山等与晚古生代中酸性岩浆侵入活动有关的铜金矿床。矿床在空间上具有"成带分布、分段集中、相间展布"的特点。海相火山岩地层、岩相界面、同生断裂及火山通道等多种因素耦合控制着红海VMS型铜锌矿的形成与产出;北北西向断裂的近南北向和北西向次级张裂隙制约着红石—梅岭火山热液脉状铜矿的赋存;晚古生代花岗闪长(斑)岩为玉带斑岩型铜金矿、西二区矽卡岩型铜矿的成矿地质体;钠长斑岩多与红山浅成低温热液型铜金矿相伴产出。各类型矿床是卡拉塔格地区古生代特定构造环境及不同构造—岩浆演化阶段的产物。

      The Kalatage area is the important copper polymetallic belt in the eastern Tianshan, Xinjiang, which has favorable metallogenic conditions. Different types of deposits such as Honghai, Hongshi and Meiling copper polymetallic deposits related to the early Paleozoic marine volcanic activity, and Yudai, Xi’erqu and Hongshan copper- gold deposits related to the late Paleozoic intermediate- acid magmatic activities, occur in the belt. The spatial distribution of deposits has characteristic of zonal distribution, sectional centralizing and apart distribution. The marine volcanic strata, petrographic interfaces, syngenetic faults and volcanic vent jointly control the formation and distribution of Honghai VMS type copper- zinc deposit. The secondary nearly NS-striking and NE-striking fractures derived from NNW-striking fault controlled the occurrence of Hongshi-Meiling volcanic hydrothermal vein type copper deposit. Granodiorite (or granodiorite porphyry) of the Neopaleozoic period is the ore-forming geological body of Yudai porphyrytype and Xi’erqu skarn type copper deposits, while the Hongshan copper-gold mineralization is assoiated with albitophyre. All types of deposits above-mentioned are products of specific Paleozoic tectonic environment and different stages of tectonic magma evolution in the Kalatage area.
