Sediment-hosted stratiform copper (SSC) is an important type of copper deposit in the world, and accounts for about 30% of the total copper resources In this dissertation,by means of summary, tectonic petrographic route survey and key deposit exploration, the distribution and type of SSC deposits have been studied, especially the typical SSC deposits in Mesozoic and Cenozoic era and the relationship between SSC and magmatic activity has been emphatically studied The main results show that: ① SSC deposits are distributed in typical sedimentary basins on all continents in the world, the metallogenic ages of SSC deposits are mainly concentrated in the Proterozoic,Carboniferous, Permian-Triassic, Jurassic-Cretaceous and Paleogene-Neogene; ② according to the host rock series,SSC deposits can be classi ed into six sub-types,namely,glutenite copper deposit,exotic-copper deposit sand-shale copper deposit,manto-type copper deposit, carbonate (dolomite) copper deposit and volcanic redbed copper deposit, the rst ve types of deposits have greater industrial value, meanwhile they are the main targets for SSC deposits prospecting;③ the diagenetic and metallogenic of some SSC deposits are related to magmatic activity, which directly participated in diagenesis and metallogenesis or controlled the output of mineralization or superimposed the formation of copper mineralization Some SSC deposits have certain connection with magmatic activities,as well as the porphyry metallogenic system and the IOCG metallogenic system The study in this dissertation can be used for expanding the prospecting ideas and provide reference for the exploration and prospecting prediction of SSC deposits both at home and abroad |
