      依据自江苏弶港向南至长江古河谷区北部的8个钻孔岩心材料,发现末次盛冰期(LGM)低海面时期时长江三角洲北翼前缘钻孔中,或出现洪泛平原黄褐色沉积地层,或出现灰绿色的硬黏土层,皆为低水位域沉积,为当时的古地面;其南北向分布稳定,但埋深差别较大,该古地面呈现出北部基本平坦,总体向南倾斜且渐次降低的特征;弶港地区为一小型河道沉积,未发现长江由此入海的大河谷证据。该区域第一层硬粘土的揭露将为研究末次盛冰期以来长江古河道变迁和苏北辐射沙脊群物源提供基础证据和材料。

      Based on eight borehole core materials from the south of Jiangsu Jianggang to the northern part of the Yangtze River Valley, we found that during the Last Glacial Maximum(LGM) period, the sediments are yellowish-brown or grey-green hard clay.The sediments in this layer are all low-water deposits, which were the ancient ground at that time. This layer of hard clay is called “The first hard clay layer”. These boreholes are all located in the front edge of the north wing of the Yangtze River Delta.The hard clay layer is stable in the north-south direction, but the difference in buried depth is large. The paleo-surface shows that the north is basically flat, and the whole is inclined to the south and gradually decreases. During the LGM period,the Jianggang area is a small river channel deposit, and no evidence of the Yangtze River entering the sea has been found.The disclosure of the first layer of hard clay in this area will provide basic evidence and materials for the study of the Yangtze River paleochannel change and the source of the radiation sand ridges in northern Jiangsu since the last glacial maximum.
