      卡尔格拉钛铁砂矿位于澳大利亚马斯格雷夫造山带与阿玛迪斯盆地交汇部位,是本区首次发现的一大型内陆型钛铁砂矿床。研究表明:钛铁矿赋存于第四系砂质沉积物中,钛铁矿矿体规模巨大,呈面状分布,矿体平均厚度 2.7~6.2 m,钛铁矿平均品位 32.87~48.18 kg/m3厚度变化系数和品位变化系数小。矿体中矿物成分较复杂,矿石矿物主要为钛铁矿和铁钛铁矿(3.15%)、,磁铁矿和磁赤铁矿(1.15%)、赤铁矿(0.52%)、富钛赤铁矿(1.77%)少量金红石(0.03%)、白钛石(0.03%)和锆石(0.12%)微量的独居石,脉石矿物以石英为主(69.76%)次为长,石(14.10%)、高岭土(6.57%)。钛铁矿的主要粒度范,围 0.02~0.32 mm。本区锆石 6个 U-Pb年龄主要,分布于 1.4~1.0 Ga,钛铁矿来源于马斯格雷夫造山带的吉尔斯(Giles)镁铁质和超镁铁质岩组,钛铁砂矿经历风化作用、水成作用,最终由风成作用富集而成,相关矿床规律总结成了内陆型钛铁砂矿床成矿模式图。本区控矿因素为地层和地形地貌控矿,找矿标志为化探 Fe、Ti异常和地表黑色重矿物富集处。本矿床的发现为寻找内陆钛铁砂矿资源提供了参考意义。

      The Karlgura ilmenite placer deposit is located at the intersection of the Musgrave Orogenic Beltand the Amadeus Basin in Australia. It is a large inland ilmenite placer deposit discovered for the first time in thisarea. Research shows that ilmenite occurs in Quaternary sandy sediments. The ilmenite ore bodies are of huge scale and are distributed in a planar shape. The average thickness of the ore bodies is 2.7 to 6.2 meters, and the averagegrade of ilmenite is 32.87 to 48.18 kilograms per cubic meter. Both the thickness variation coefficient and the gradevariation coefficient are small. The mineral composition in the ore bodies is relatively complex. The ore mineralsmainly include ilmenite and ferro-ilmenite (3.15%), magnetite and maghemite (1.15%), hematite (0.52%), titanium-rich hematite (1.77%), a small amount of rutile (0.03%), leucoxene (0.03%) and zircon (0.12%), as well as traceamounts of monazite. The gangue minerals are mainly quartz (69.76%), followed by feldspar (14.10%) and kaolin(6.57%). The main particle size range of ilmenite is 0.02 to 0.32 millimeters. The six U-Pb ages of zircons in thisarea are mainly distributed between 1.0 and 1.4 billion years (Ga). It is believed that the ilmenite is derived from theGiles mafic and ultramafic rock suites in the Musgrave Orogenic Belt. The ilmenite placer deposit has undergoneweathering and hydromorphic processes, and was finally enriched through eolian processes. The relevant depositpatterns are summarized into a metallogenic model diagram of the inland ilmenite placer deposit. The ore-controlling factors in this area are strata, topography and geomorphology. The prospecting indicators are geochemi-cal anomalies of Fe and Ti and the enrichment areas of black heavy minerals on the surface. The discovery of thisdeposit provides a reference for the search for inland ilmenite placer resources.
