      金牛火山岩盆地位于鄂东南矿集区西缘,是中国长江中下游铁矿床的重要分布区。盆地南缘灵乡一带的脑窖、刘岱山等富铁矿体主要赋存于闪长岩与三叠系碳酸盐岩接触带及火山岩中,呈透镜状、脉状及不对称马鞍状,矿石多具块状、角砾状与网脉状构造。金牛盆地南缘发育大量硬石膏,其硫同位素 δ3.S集中于 +30‰~+32‰。盆地南缘石膏资源量超过 1亿 t,而铁矿资源量不足 2000万 t,资源量比值严重失衡,暗示深部可能存在尚未揭露的厚大铁矿体。重力-磁力异常叠加区钻探揭露白云质灰岩捕虏体及厚大高品位硬石膏层,表明其具备有利成矿条件。本研究表明金牛盆地南缘具有形成大中型富铁矿床的潜力,深部构造交汇带是下一步重点找矿方向。
英文摘要:
      The Jinniu volcanic basin, located in the western margin of the Southeastern Hubei Province. Sev-eral Fe deposits, including the Naojiao and Liudaishan deposits, occur along the southern margin of the basin, whereore bodies are mainly hosted in the contact zones between diorite and Triassic carbonate rocks. The ore bodies arecharacterized by complex morphologies such as lenticular, vein-like, and asymmetrical saddle shapes, with massive,brecciated, and stockwork textures. Large amounts of anhydrite occur in the southern Jinniu basin, with sulfur iso-tope compositions (δ3.S = +30‰ to +32‰) indicating a distinct evaporitic sulfur source. Notably, the anhydrite re-sources in this area exceed 100 million tons, whereas the identified Fe resources are less than 20 million tons, pro-ducing a highly unbalanced ratio that implies the likely presence of undiscovered, thick iron orebodies at depth.Drilling within overlapping gravity and magnetic anomalies has revealed extensive dolomitic limestone xenolith bod-ies and thick, high-grade anhydrite layers, further confirming favorable metallogenic conditions. The results of thisstudy demonstrate that the southern margin of the Jinniu basin has significant potential for medium-to large-scalehigh-grade iron deposits, and that deep structural intersections constitute the primary targets for future exploration.
